Please join us on Tuesday, July 23rd from 4-7 PM for a Carpenter Cousin Meet & Greet! One of the many Carpenter descendants inspired HHS recently when she mentioned she would be in town and would like to meet her Carpenter cousins. It occurred to us that there may be others who would like to meet each other as well. Given that the Carpenter family populated Blockville and the surrounding area, and that Israel Carpenter donated the land that the school, church, cemetery and HHS were built on, it seemed like a great way to honor their contribution to our local community. So, there will be a 'Carpenter Cousin' meet and greet on Tuesday, July 23rd from 4-7 PM. Hot dogs and refreshments will be available (while supplies last). In order to better plan on attendance, please RSVP to HHS via Facebook, email, or leave a message at 716-782-3074. If you have photos and/or other information about your family you'd like to show off, please bring them with you. HHS would love to have copies for their files and for the next generation of Carpenters to find. We hope you will spread the word to your own Carpenter cousins. Not sure if you are related? Just contact us and we will do our best to find out. Even if you are not sure if you are related, all are welcome! We hope to see you there! |
